Built for producers

One app for everything you've got going on

Plugins, projects, vendor installers, updates, deals, and the little producer tools you keep Googling — all in one place, so you can spend more time making music.

Always know what's outdated

Plugr quietly checks hundreds of developers for updates and shows you the moment something new is out — and puts every vendor installer (Native Access, Waves Central, Splice, iLok, more) on one tab so you never dig through Launchpad again.

See what you actually use

Plugr reads your real Ableton, Logic, and FL Studio sessions and shows your library through the lens of three charts — most-used plugins, category mix, developers you rely on. Click any slice to filter the project list.

Spot the best deals fast

Plugr keeps an eye on VST Buzz, Plugin Boutique, and Audio Plugin Deals and brings everything into one tidy feed — filtered to the developers you own, priced in your own currency.

Updates

Never miss an update again

Plugr keeps tabs on hundreds of plugin developers — FabFilter, Soundtoys, Plugin Alliance, Native Instruments, UAD, iZotope, Valhalla and many more. The moment a new version is out, you'll see it.

  • Works with hundreds of major plugin developers right out of the box
  • "Major upgrade" badge for big version jumps, so you know which updates are paid
  • Check your entire library for updates with one click
  • Companion Apps tab puts Native Access, Waves Central, Splice, iLok and every other vendor installer one tap away — with update badges when a managed plugin needs attention
  • Working sources users submit feed back into a shared pool — opt in and everyone gets better update coverage

Projects

Discover what you actually reach for

Point Plugr at your project folders and see your library the way you really use it — by what shows up in your sessions, not what you bought on a whim five years ago.

  • Three charts at the top of the tab — most-used plugins, category mix, developers you rely on — each clickable to filter the list
  • Auto-detected tempo and project key, so you can filter by a tempo range or sort by key
  • Bounces auto-discovered from Bounces, Exports, Mixdowns and Rendered folders next to each project — and played inline with a click-to-seek waveform, keyboard shortcuts, and auto-advance
  • Add notes, rate projects A–F, track them through custom workflow statuses, jump straight to your DAW with one click

Frequently asked

Quick answers. Full FAQ here, or email us if you don't see your question.

What plugin formats does Plugr support?

VST3, Audio Unit (AU), VST2, AAX, and CLAP. It also catalogues your Mac applications (DAWs, mastering apps, license managers, instrument standalones) so it's truly "everything audio-related on this Mac".

Does Plugr work on Windows?

Not yet. Plugr is currently macOS-only (macOS 12 Monterey or later, Apple Silicon and Intel both). Windows support is on the long-term roadmap but not committed.

How accurate is the update checking?

For the hundreds of developers Plugr knows about — most of the big names you use every day — very accurate. For developers it doesn't recognize yet, Plugr makes its best guess and lets you confirm in one click, then remembers for next time.

A few developers (Plugin Alliance, Native Instruments, UAD, Waves) handle updates through their own installer apps. Plugr knows about those too, and points you to the right place to grab the update.

Will Plugr delete my plugins?

Only when you explicitly tell it to. "Move to Trash" is reversible (files go to your macOS Trash, not deleted permanently) and asks for confirmation. Everything else — categories, tags, favorites — is metadata that lives in Plugr's local cache and never touches your actual plugin files.

What's the difference between subscription and lifetime?

Subscription gives you all features as long as you're subscribed; cancel and the app drops to a read-only view of your existing scan data. Lifetime is a one-time payment for all features available at the time of purchase, plus all updates to those features forever. We may sunset the Lifetime tier at some point — anyone who bought one keeps it.

Does Plugr send my data anywhere?

Your library, projects, tags, favorites and notes stay on your Mac. Plugr only reaches out to developer websites to check for updates and to the deal sites to pull in sales — it never uploads your library anywhere.

If you turn on iCloud sync, your data syncs between your own Macs through Apple's iCloud, not our servers. Full details in the privacy policy.
